Glee is about the get a case of Bieber fever as the kids at McKinley High will dedicate an entire episode to the budding pop phenomenon – Justin Bieber.
Glee has previously taken on pop stars such as Madonna, Lady Gaga, and most recently Britney Spears.
The episode is tentatively scheduled for Feb. 15 during sweeps. Although details are still sketchy, the cast will reportedly be covering several of Bieber’s hits and the teen idol will figure into the storyline. Currently, there are no plans for him to actually appear on the show a la Britney, but that could change.
I’d like to see Kurt (Chris Colfer) take on “U Smile” while seronading his man love Blaine (Darren Criss).
What songs do you want to see performed?
UPDATE: The show’s creator and executive producer Ryan Murphy tells Perez Hilton that a Bieber tribute episode is definitely not in the works. “Glee is not doing a Justin Bieber tribute episode. We are not doing any more of those this season,” he says. “Those are reserved for artists with a big catalog, a la Madonna and Britney, etc.”
